The Pyrenees

Col d' Aspin to Col du Tourmalet back over the Col d' Aspin 100km and 5.5 hrs

I stopped to help a Spaniard whose crank had fallen off. As i don't speak spanish and he didn't speak english it was left to hand gestures and dancing?

I had 6km to go to the summit of col du Tourmalet with no food or water i was in a very dark place. The weather had turned and it was raining and cold with snow on the ground.

i didn't have a camera when i reached the summit of the col du Tourmalet but if i did it would look like this .... with less feathers and more rain

After descending the Tourmalt like a stone and with a tummy full of mars bars and coke i felt great ...... until i had to summit the Col d' Aspin to get home.

Crit Race Milton Keynes Style

Feeling a bit fat need to get on a bike.

I can taste hamburger....

After being off the bike for some weeks I decided it would be a good idea to do a circuit race. So i borrowed my brothers bike and headed for the Milton Keynes Bowl for a 1hr plus 5 laps crit race how hard could that be....... Well its safe to say that the lads who race at the Milton Keynes Bowl don't muck around. The average speed for the first half hour was low 40's then they opened the gates into the car park and i got blown out the back. Lets just say i finished with very little style or grace.
